Film from the PHOTOGRAPHERS series, the aim of which is to present personalities of the Slovak photography in ten 26-minute documentary profiles. Šymon Kliman (1980) is the artistic name of a young Slovak photographer. He comes from the great artistic clan of the Trizuljaks. In 2008, he graduated in photography in the studio of Filip Vančo at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. At present, he is a free-lance photographer. He takes part in collective shows in Slovakia and the Czech Republic and exhibits at festivals of photography in Europe. Šymon Kliman‘s programme work is oriented on development of the open society by means of specifically focused artistic creation. His motifs are portraits of people from diverse social and cultural environments. The documentary spotlights Šymon as a young man with personally engaged opinions and interest in society, different social and ethnic groups. It chronologically maps three key and successful projects from the portfolio of this young author – Fashion in Action, Gypsies Made Beautiful,
and Partisans.
